About Dr. Brian D. Kent

Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Kent began practicing in Orange County, California in 1987, and has had extensive experience in all areas of cosmetic surgery including facial rejuvenation, breast surgery and body contouring.

During his 24 years in private practice in Southern California, he also served as a consultant at the Breast Care Center of Orange County, performing post-mastectomy breast reconstruction on breast cancer patients, and the Wound Care Center of Orange. Now, Dr. Kent is bringing his years of exerpience in the cosmetic surgery capitol of the world to Tulsa.

A Tulsa native once removed through his wife Cindy, who was born and raised in Claremore, Dr. Kent has been a visitor to the area for over a decade. Impressed by both the people and the values of Oklahoma, he and Cindy decided to relocate their family at the end of 2010. Dr. Kent set up practice in January and despite the worst weather in years, he’s loving it.

An avid guitar player and physical fitness enthusiast, Dr. Kent has a drive to excel and a passion for life that are reflected in his work. A true believer in getting it “just right”, Dr. Kent really listens to his patients -- to their wants, their needs, their concerns, and tailors a customized treatment plan, using all of his extensive expertise, that is just right for them.

A native of Southern California, Dr. Kent graduated magna cum lauded from UCLA before attending the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina. He earned his medical degree in 1981 with Alpha Omega Alpha honors and went on to serve his general surgery residency at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center.

In 1987, Dr. Kent completed his plastic surgery residency at University of Texas in Houston, where he was awarded the Samuel Spira Award for Excellence in Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Kent received his board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1989, and is a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Brian Kent is married and has a son and a daughter. He has been playing guitar for many years, focusing on classical, finger style, and folk rock music. Although he has been playing for most of his life, he is “not ready for American Idol,” according to Dr. Kent. Physical fitness is another passion.
